The ones that - regardless of what you tell them you’re looking for - adopt a robotic sales approach and overwhelm you with overcrowded dress racks with a dozen try-ons because they have only one goal in mind: sell, sell, sell. That is not what Duchess Bridal is about. We listen intently and carefully so we can help you zero in on the dress of your dreams without pressuring you or overwhelming you. We’re transparent in our try-on process and sincere in our efforts to find your dream dress within your budget. If we don’t think we have what you’re looking for - we’ll simply tell you! We’ll never pressure you into walking out with a dress you’re not in love with.

Meet the Owners.
Witneigh grew up in rural NC, where she embraced the quiet countryside (and the horseback and four-wheeler riding, bonfire socializing, and southern hospitality that came with it) but couldn't help feeling enchanted by high fashion attire and glamorous "Hollywood" aesthetics. She worked in a pageant and bridal dress shop in high school and couldn't shake the deep sense of gratification that came from helping people feel more beautiful and confident in their own skin, simply by putting them in a dress that complemented it. She remembers telling her mom, back then, that she wanted to own a bridal boutique one day. Many years - and lots of corporate marketing and retail management roles later - that dream came full circle. Her work with Greensboro Fashion Week was an entrepreneurial endeavor that brought her face to face with some of the most talented and creative individuals she's ever met. It helped her renew her dreams of retail ownership and empowered her to tap into her own creative spirit. She doesn't just own and operate Duchess Bridal Boutique - she creates here, too.
The Duchess Collection is curated specifically for brides who don't want to splurge on a custom dress but are looking for something unique, fashionable, sexy, effortless, and elegant. The difference is in the details. The integrity of the inside of the dress is extremely important to her. When you put on and feel one of the dresses from her exclusive collection, you'll notice the craftsmanship of what's underneath the dress. Support and comfort are meticulously built into these dresses so you feel good in them. She wholeheartedly believes that the way a dress fits - and feels - is equally as important as the hand-embellished designs and how it looks. (A bride just radiates differently when she’s confident in her dress!)
At the end of the day, Witneigh just loves love. She wears her heart on her sleeve and has been known to cry - right alongside you and your tribe - when you finally find your dream dress. She truly believes this is her calling and feels incredibly grateful for every bride who has allowed her to be such a small part of their love story and wedding day.
Giovanni grew up in Albania when tensions were high and war was inevitable. His family escaped to a Refugee Camp when he was 12 years old and he came to America shortly after. Assimilating into the Greensboro area was difficult at first, and fashion become a sort of universal language that helped him communicate and fit in. It quickly grew into a deep love of self expression.
For Gio, the allure of a sharp, tailored suit was instilled early on. There’s a photograph of Giovanni’s grandfather - candidly conversing with friends in a crisp three-piece suit (the sprawling and rural Albanian landscape in the background) on the wall of Besa Clothier. It’s that casual nature of wearing an elaborate suit that Gio gets honest - simply a sense of pride and ownership in his heritage and presence.
It was likely that very quality that got him noticed early on by a modeling agency. In 2013, he went to New York and walked in NYC’s Fashion Week. That experience cemented his love of fashion and he’d go on to co-create the Greensboro Fashion Week franchise where he helped bring big city fashion energy to North Carolina.
His eye for men’s fashion and his ability to curate and tailor his own wardrobe from vintage finds fueled his dream of a clothier boutique where he could share his love of custom suits with others. Featuring exquisite fabrics from Italy and fully customizable patterns and styles - Giovanni’s dedication to sourcing the highest quality materials and his unsurpassed hospitality and professionalism is why Besa is quickly becoming the Triad’s hottest source of bespoke menswear.
